ITINERARY
Pickup – Explore Marble Mountain
From your hotel, we hit the road and head to Marble Mountain, a highlight sightseeing in Da Nang because of its alluring beauty. Stone steps carved into the mountain lead to historical pagodas and Buddhist temples. Stunning caves and grottos here were used as secret bases by the Vietnamese revolutionaries in the wars. Take a nice walk with Local Buddy, you will admire spectacular views of Da Nang city. We soon visit the 500-year-old sculpture village at the foot of the mountain to contemplate amazing statues made out of marble.
The legendary Hai Van Pass
Continue our journey, we drive to the legendary Hai Van pass, the most scenic coastal road in Vietnam, featured in BBC’s Top Gear show as a must-see when traveling to Da Nang. Winding mountain roads invite travelers to experience hairpin turns and take in the breathtaking views of mountain ranges with white sand beaches and Lang Co bay underneath. This army strategic location creates a unique impression that cannot be found anywhere else in Vietnam.
Lunch and the Blue Lagoon
Later on, we visit the Blue Lagoon and take pictures of fascinating oyster farms and houses on stilts of local fishermen. In winter days, we enjoy lunch in the local restaurant on stilts with the breathtaking view of Bach Ma national park in the distance. In summer days, we have a tasty home-cooked lunch and enjoy lovely swim at the waterfall where the locals hang out, so make sure to bring swimsuit and towel with you. After this awesome adventure, we drive back to your hotel.

Firstly, let me just say that this was hands down my favourite experience in Vietnam! Today we went on the Marble Mountain, Hai Van Pass and Lap An Lagoon private tour. We had Ben as our guide and he was amazing!! Ben took us to Marble Mountain to start and gave us a some very interesting information about the history of this magnificent place. We then went to Hai Van Pass which had gorgeous views of the ocean. Ben stopped at this cute little place on the side for a Vietnamese coffee, tea and bananas!! He also took us to some little hidden gems along the way. We made our way down to the lagoon, which most tourists don’t get too or know about which made it even more special. At the lagoon we stopped at a local oyster farmers house that was built on the water, he even gave us some fresh caught oysters! We then made our way to a seafood restaurant and Ben ordered us a delicious lunch that did not disappoint. We then headed back towards our place in Hoi An with again a few amazing little insider stops along the way… Was definitely an experience to be able to see Vietnam without the tourist craze. Ben was so knowledgeable and spoke the most clearest English I’ve heard so far! If your looking for a real experience with real people this is your place!
Don’t leave Vietnam without calling and booking a tour! Thanks again Ben, truly amazing!

Tu was awesome, I spent a full day with him and Duc travelling to Marble Mountain, Monkey Mountain and Hai Van Pass. He managed to squeeze so many sights into one day and made the trip exciting and action packed from beginning to end. I really can’t recommend it enough.
We started early from our hotel in Hoi An and made our way to Marble Mountain through rice fields filled with lotus flowers and water buffalo, stopping off at the beach to take photos along the way. After visiting the beautiful caves and temples hidden in the mountain we made our way along the winding Hai Van mountain pass, taking in the amazing views and stopping for an excellent lunch at a floating restaurant. After eating we travelled back over the pass and to Monkey Mountain, paying a visit to a Buddhist Temple complex with a ginormous Lady Buddha statue, apparently the largest in Vietnam. On the way home the journey included an unscheduled stop to feed monkeys playing in the trees by the side of the road, a really great way to end the day. We had several tours whilst in Vietnam and Tu was by far the best. Others seemed to merely take you from place to place and leave you to your own devices once you got there. However, Tu was different, his English is brilliant and he took the time to show us details we may have missed, explaining the history of the places we visited and religious symbolism of many of the statues and temples we passed along the way. All in all he and Duc really looked after us and were considerate, friendly and humorous, all of which provided for a great day out.
